Essential oils: An essential oil is a substance with a high concentration of active ingredients, extracted from an aromatic plant. It is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers or fruit or by cold expression of the zest. As essential oils contain 100% of their active ingredients, they should be used with care and rigour. Incorrect use can cause side effects or skin irritation.
Our collection of eaux de toilette and natural skincare products with essential oils sublimates them by placing them at the centre of each composition for fresh, natural and sensorial formulas.

- Rose essential oil is renowned for its stimulating and restructuring properties. Commonly known as "rose oil", it is used as an aromatic raw material in perfumery.

- A paradox of nature, Verbena essential oil has a refreshing, invigorating scent and softening properties.

- Lavender essential oil soothes and balances the skin against exposomes, i.e. all the environmental exposures to which you are subjected throughout your life.

- A true concentrate of Provence, Lemon and Cypress essential oils, with their fruity, summery fragrance, stimulate and energise the skin.

- Sea fennel essential oil: Sea fennel is a small, particularly hardy maritime plant that grows in rocky crevices along the seashore. Very rich in marine salts and minerals, notably potassium, iodine and vitamin C, a rare and precious essential oil can be extracted from it. Traditionally used for weight loss and to combat cellulite, thanks to its regenerating, firming and slimming properties.

Parfums Absolues :

We're honouring Grasse perfumery and its ancestral know-how with our range of skincare products made with perfume absolutes. Like an elixir, the Absolue is obtained by cold extraction of the plant's fragrant molecules. A true jewel of Haute Parfumerie, Absolue is the most precious essence of the raw plant material. The extreme concentration of plant extracts in absolutes makes them a veritable aromatic treas

Objective assets

Glycofilm pollustop (in MEN face cream): This anti-pollution active ingredient provides 30% extra protection against carbon particles and reduces cellular and mitochondrial toxicity in the different layers of the epidermis by 54%.

Bodyfit (in RAISIN firming cream): A patented active ingredient based on Glaucine, it helps reduce the appearance of orange-peel skin and improves skin firmness. It activates lipolysis and inhibits the appearance of new adipocytes by regulating the flow of calcium and water into the tissues.

Hyaluronic acid: Naturally present in the skin, it deeply rehydrates. Tensing, plumping and smoothing, this exceptional anti-ageing agent restores suppleness and youthfulness to the skin.

Discarded ingredients

Silicones:
While silicones provide strength and smoothness to hair, a powdery finish to the skin, and facilitate the spread of creams, these products are synthetic, and their use is controversial, particularly in terms of biodegradability. That's why we exclude them from our formulations.

Phenoxyethanol (preservative):
Phenoxyethanol has a bad reputation. Therefore, we have decided to remove this preservative from our formulas. Commonly used in cosmetics, it sometimes raises concerns due to its potential allergenicity. We prefer to use natural alternatives.

Parabens (preservative):
We opt for other preservatives as parabens are suspected endocrine disruptors. Parabens are also used as fragrance in cosmetics.

SLS and SLES:
Often referred to as SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) and SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate), sulfates are foaming agents. "SLS-free" cosmetic products provide a gentler option for those who prefer to avoid this potentially irritating ingredient. Our SLS-free formulations aim to maintain product effectiveness while reducing the risk of skin irritation.

Tolerated ingredients

EDTA :
EDTA is an agent known as a "chelating agent" because it fixes molecules and ensures the stability of formulas by preventing the development of bacteria in the product. Although it is risk-free due to the low concentrations used in cosmetics, it is monitored from an environmental point of view. There is no natural alternative as effective as this synthetic molecule. We have therefore decided to use it only in our liquid Marseille soaps for these technical reasons.

Benzoate de sodium, sorbate de potassium, alcool benzylique (conservators) :
These preservatives prevent the development of bacteria in a product. Although they are synthetic, we use them because they are one of the few preservatives authorised in ORGANIC cosmetics.

UV filter :
We use two UV filters to stabilise our L'Olivier Eau de Parfum to prevent it from reacting to UV light and damaging its fragrance.

Acrylates/Polyacrylates :
We tolerate these polymers of synthetic origin for the sensoriality they bring to the product. A unique sensoriality that we love, and that a natural ingredient cannot offer.

Titanium dioxide :
This mineral-based pigment is used as a UV absorber, colouring agent and opacifier. Its use in the form of nano-particles in cosmetics is the subject of debate, with the latter being accused of penetrating the skin barrier. There is no risk in our products, as we do not use it in nanoparticle form in our formulas. Titanium dioxide in nano-particulate form is only authorised in suncare products (on the INCI list, the word "[Nano]" after its name "TITANIUM DIOXDE" indicates its size). If there is no mention of "[Nano]", this means that it is in the form of a microparticle (a molecule too large to penetrate beyond the epidermis).

PEG :
We've decided to tolerate these emulsifiers and cleansing agents in our shower gels for an optimal user experience, despite the fact that their manufacturing process is sometimes criticised.

Palm oil :
All our solid soaps are RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certified. For certain raw materials of natural origin that come from developing markets and whose exploitation is not always very transparent, we must guarantee sustainable and responsible supply chains in line with the values of the brand and our products. The palm oil produced, processed and used in the manufacture of our soaps meets very precise requirements in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development, and is traceable throughout the supply chain.
